Motorola has doubled the amount of products available through Action Communications"Brian Baxter and the staff at Action have been the largest selling dealer in Southern Arizona for the Motorola Radius brand and have been number one in Arizona and the U.S. at various times," according to Craig Thomas, Motorola's Area Distribution Manager for the western region. "The demand from Action's customers in the construction, public safety, government and utility markets prompted us to increase their product line," Thomas explained. Motorola full-line and professional radio products will be listed in our website catalog in addition to other lines.
Nextel reprimanded for tactics
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has reprimanded Nextel for misleading customers, according to "RCR, The Weekly Newspaper for the Wireless Communications Industry". Nextel's practices "appear to mislead and/or unduly pressure existing customers to undertake the substantial additional expense of subscribing to Nextel's digital service," according to the FCC.
RCR reported that Nextel has told its employees to refrain from making the following claims:
- Nextel is the only provider of 800 MHz services.
- Nextel owns all the 800 MHz spectrum in the US.
- The FCC has outlawed all analog 800 systems.
- Your current provider of dispatch services will soon be out of business.
- Your existing Motorola analog equipment is useless.
